High Point is a ‘High Point’ for Me as I Gather Inspiration for Clients

I’ve just returned from the fall High Point Market in North Carolina.

Imagine a 6-year-old at Disney World. That was me at High Point. I’m so inspired by the many things I saw at this twice-per-year extravaganza (the next one runs April 20-25, 2013). The Market brings furniture manufacturers, lighting specialists, fabric designers and more into a whirlwind of exhibition magic. Guest speakers, seminars and more round out the week.

Here are a few of my favorite things (note the brilliant colors, especially the warm reds and oranges)!

As I sift through all of my photos, I’ll add some more later in the week.

If anything here piques your interest, let me know and we’ll get designing!

I love the look of Halo’s lighting fixtures. They evoke the original look of glass lanterns. Eclectic and vintage at once.

Square Feathers’ pillows add lots of punch!

Surya square ottomans can change any space dramatically with their new pops of color. Some of the hottest colors: purple, gray, sorbet-inspired green and tangerine, vibrant teals and blues, poppy red paired with orange … They’re cool, contemporary and energetic … wonderful for a modern ambiance.

Four Hands’ Moroccan lanterns … such interesting finds from around the world!

These Jaipur rugs feature great colors and patterns for modern interiors.
