Design Resolutions: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014!

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!

I love that cozy feeling that our home takes on during the holidays, with all the lights, candles and a blazing fireplace. Along with that special aura, the aroma of fantastic food and favorite recipes takes me back to my childhood, when all of my family would gather at my grandma’s house. I wanted the Christmas season to last forever and I still feel that way. The season is a time to create memories — and a time for detaching myself from emails and deadlines to enjoy the company of family and friends.

As we saunter out of 2013 and into 2014, I’m picking up my pace a bit! Now that I recharged my battery, I’m  ready for the new 2014, and am so excited about all the new things to come! I hope I can help you make some of your interior design resolutions happen, whether it’s new wall paint or a kitchen update.

As for my New Year’s resolutions/goals, I would like to broaden my knowledge on “green design” and  healthy living. I want to explore environmentally friendly solutions for my home.

I also want to get more involved with helping others. For starters, I’m super excited that I’ll be a guest designer at the Variety Detroit, The Children’s Charity Tabletops event April 30. We’ll create an exquisite tabletop design as one of 30 table designers at a luncheon at Pine Lake Country Club in West Bloomfield Township, MI.

This popular annual event will feature a highly acclaimed design speaker and a delicious lunch. Ticket proceeds go toward Variety’s Children’s Charity.

Happy New Year!
